Update alternative video
Point the player at a fallback video for viewers who can't play the main one.
The alternative video is the fallback the player swaps in when the main video can't play — for example on a connection too slow for the primary stream.
This is a merge-patch: send only the keys you want to change and everything else keeps its stored value.
Set the fallback
curl -X PATCH https://api.vturb.com/v1/videos/{id} \
-H "Authorization: Bearer vt_..." \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{ "alternative_video": { "enabled": true, "id": "66f2..." } }'The keys
| Key | Type | Writes |
|---|---|---|
enabled | boolean | Turns the fallback on or off |
id | string | The id of the video to fall back to |
The id must be a video in your organization and can't be the video itself,
and enabling the fallback without an id is an incomplete pair. Each of those
is rejected with 422 unprocessable_content.
